Opportunities From: CAP Volunteering

Volunteer: Public Policy Advocate

Use your experience and voice to help change the system by volunteering as a Public-Policy Advocate! CAP’s Public Policy & Advocacy Program is looking for people living with or affected by HIV, LGBTQ+ people, people who are experiencing or have experienced houselessness or housing instability, and health professionals to participate in meetings with policymakers and testify at public hearings as needed.

Just provide us with a little information about your lived and/or professional experience and where you live (so we can determine which elected officials represent you) and we’ll match you with opportunities as they come up! No experience with advocacy? No problem! We’ll provide training and support to make sure you feel confident speaking up.
